Madison Elsie Kline

Madison E. Kline

Madison Elsie Kline was born on December 12, 2009 at 1:10 a.m. She was 7 lbs and 2.5 ounces. She's tiny and precious. Mommy and baby returned home on December 14 to Matt and Nanny (Bonnie). Homecoming was exciting and scary, as we were no longer under the care of the midwives.

No picture or words can describe the first few days with our new baby. Excitement, exhaustion, joy, and love - with a dash of anxiety - are the feelings that arise with birth. Our experience at the hospital was excellent - the midwives we encountered were helpful and wonderful. Midwives visit our home daily or every other day, for the first ten days.

Madison is a really good baby! She has cried a few times, really loud, but usually when she needs a nappy change or feeding. She smiles, but doesn't know why yet. Seems just a natural expression for her. She's happy, and loves being swaddled.

Thanks to everyone for their support, and all the welcoming messages for Madison. If you live far, and would like to SKYPE to see her, please let us know. We are at matt.sarah.kline

Love, Sarah and Matt
