A day at the coast

July 18, 2008
Mark, Matt and Sarah took a leisurely drive to the eastern coast of Northern England. We visited the Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, Ravenscar, and finished our trip home through the back country roads of the North Yorkshire Moors.

Whitby's most famous restaurant is Magpie Cafe, which we all found scruptious. We had to wait in line to get in, but from what we heard the line was really short compared to normal. It's a seafood house, and we all got a fish dish of some kind.

Robin Hood's Bay was filled with small winding walkways, and quaint gardens and hills, hills, hills. We wound our way down to the water to a local pub and had a tasty beverage. We were sitting high with a wonderful view of the ocean - off in the distance we could see Ravenscar.
