Our first day in England we were greated at the Harrogate train depot by Jeff and Janie . After an exhausting trip with the two cats we were quite happy to see them. Janie had set up a temporary apartment for us, and it is quaint, but wonderful. Furnished too.
Since then, we've been on our feet and exploring. We've walked what feels like the entire town of Harrogate, but each time we turn around there is more to see. Today we ventured over to another town by bus - Knaresborough. Our first castle since we got here. We stopped at the Carriage House for "Sunday Lunch." The Carriage House is on top of the train tracks, and you could feel it shake as a train passed.

Hey Skype buddies, blog on! This is great. Take lots of pics, we love to see the area. But first, Sarah, get caught up on your sleep. You look tired in the pics.

Hi Sarah & Matt,
Am so glad you're enjoying the countryside and history. I was enchanted w/the BI and especially Wales. Last time we drove and that was a fun experience, for me - don't know about my passenger! The Lake district was especially beautiful.
Matt i know you will bring a bit of gourmet to your new friends - have fun stay well
